O'Tempo: The Festival That Makes the Orléanais Vibrate
Born during the pandemic, the O'Tempo festival is the result of the audacity of the VVMS Prod association, founded in 2020 by a group of culture and sports enthusiasts—entrepreneurs, performing arts professionals, and informed amateurs. Their gamble: to launch a contemporary and popular music festival in Boigny-sur-Bionne, near Orléans, in a 100% associative spirit. From its very first edition in August 2021, the festival captivated over 5,000 people with a lineup featuring Hoshi, Ayo, Gaël Faye, and 47 Ter.
A Meteoric Rise in Five Editions
Year after year, O'Tempo has grown while retaining its festive and accessible identity. The second edition in 2022 surpassed the 10,000 spectator mark with Tryo, Hatik, La Rue Kétanou, Joyce Jonathan, and Ben (L'Oncle Soul). In 2023, for its third edition, the festival confirmed its growing momentum with Matmatah, Danakil, La Zarra, Trois Cafés Gourmands, and La Grande Sophie, attracting around 8,000 festival-goers. The fourth edition in 2024 hosted Black M, Superbus, Pierre de Maere, Claudio Capéo, and Maëlle, setting a new attendance record of 12,000 people.
An Outdoor Site Near Orléans
The festival unfolds on the Plaine de la Caillaudière, a vast outdoor space located in Boigny-sur-Bionne, just fifteen minutes from the center of Orléans. Two stages set the rhythm for the three days of festivities: the main stage, which hosts national headliners, and the Ici Orléans stage, dedicated to emerging talents and regional artists. An eco-responsible village complements the experience with food trucks, bars, and activities for all ages.
An Eclectic and Popular Program
O'Tempo's strength lies in the diversity of its programming. From rap (Youssoupha, Black M, Hatik) to reggae (Jahneration, Danakil), through pop (Superbus, Pierre de Maere, Jérémy Frérot), French chanson (Cali, Sanseverino, La Grande Sophie, Claudio Capéo), funk (Deluxe, Ben L'Oncle Soul), and electro with the After Club O'Tempo, the festival blends musical genres to reach a broad, intergenerational audience.
A 100% Associative and Committed Festival
Supported by over 200 volunteers—with priority given to residents of Boigny and members of local associations—O'Tempo embodies a model of an associative festival rooted in its territory. The cashless payment system, free shuttles from Orléans, carpooling parking, and attention to accessibility demonstrate professional organization serving a friendly and responsible event. With a budget of approximately 400,000 euros, including 180,000 euros from private sponsorship, the festival asserts itself edition after edition as an unmissable summer event in the Loiret region.
