A 9th edition supported by 500 volunteers
For its ninth edition, the Pelpass Festival deployed three marquees from May 14 to 17, 2026, in the Jardin des Deux Rives, on the Franco-German border. Nearly 53 artistic acts performed, including 19 international ones, before an audience eager for emergence and discovery. Organized by the Pelpass & Cie association with approximately 500 volunteers, the festival confirmed its place in the Alsatian festival landscape, supported by FIP since 2021.
An eclectic program over four days
From Thursday to Saturday, concerts ran from 5 p.m. until 3 a.m. (1:30 a.m. on Thursday), covering alternative rock, rap, hip-hop, soul, electro, house, world music, and French chanson. Sunday, with a more family-friendly format, took place from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, May 16, was sold out several weeks before the event, driven notably by Ammar 808 (Tunisia), Les Louanges (Quebec), and Cortisa Star.
Headliners and revelations
Headliners: Oddisee accompanied by Heno (American rap), Ammar 808 (Tunisian electronic), Snapped Ankles (London rock), Sam Sauvage (male revelation at the Victoires de la Musique 2026), Les Louanges (Quebec funk-soul), and 2L (rapper revealed by the Netflix series Nouvelle École). Discoveries: Joe & The Shitboys (punk from the Faroe Islands), Bricknasty, Velours Velours, Aujourd'hui, Bleu Berline, Echt!, Atoem. Sunday afternoon featured Alma Rechtman, La Mòssa, Coup Dur, Dressed Like Boys, Zélie, Sheldon, BIM, and Djo Chante Dassin.
Three stages and a responsible commitment
The three stages (Scène A, Scène B, and la Militente) allowed festival-goers to move between intimate concerts and larger platforms, all within a landscaped setting by the Rhine. The edition maintained its eco-responsible commitment: dry toilets, eco-cups, compostable containers, short supply chain for catering, preferred tram and bike access.

Practical advice
Bring sunscreen and a hat for sunny days. The site is outdoors, so consider a jacket for the evenings. Trams run late into the evening on festival days.
A festival born from a passion for discovery
Created in 2017 by the association Pelpass & Cie, Pelpass Festival was born from a simple conviction: the emerging music scene deserves a setting worthy of its energy. Since its first edition, the festival has championed a discovery-focused program, mixing up-and-coming artists with established names from the French and international independent scene. A partner of FIP since 2021, Pelpass has carved out a niche in the Alsatian festival landscape.
The Jardin des Deux Rives, an exceptional setting
The festival takes place at the Jardin des Deux Rives, a vast landscaped park located on the Franco-German border, connected to Kehl by the Mimram footbridge. This unique setting — with its lawns, trees, and Rhine banks — offers an intimate and bucolic atmosphere rarely found in an urban festival. Three stages are spread throughout the park, allowing you to move from an acoustic folk concert to an electro DJ set in just a few steps.
Four days of eclectic music
Pelpass's programming blends genres without hierarchy: independent rock, electro, hip-hop, French chanson, world music, folk-pop, and afro-beat coexist naturally. The festival features around forty artists over four days, from Thursday to Sunday, with hours extending until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday, a more family-oriented format, ends at 11 p.m.
Accessibility and friendliness
With some of the most affordable prices on the festival scene (from €6 to €25 per day), Pelpass emphasizes accessibility. The festival cultivates a relaxed atmosphere, far from overcrowded behemoths, with well-curated food areas, local bars, and a controlled capacity that allows you to fully enjoy each concert.
A springboard for the emerging scene
A true springboard for emerging artists, Pelpass has seen names perform on its stages who later exploded onto the national scene. The festival collaborates with independent labels, programming collectives, and media partners to discover tomorrow's talents, both in France and internationally.
