Opera and Lyric Singing Festival in Périgord Noir
Founded in 2006 by Jean-François Boyer, pianist, choirmaster, and musical director, the Più di Voce Festival in Périgord has established itself as a must-attend event for lyric singing in Dordogne. Every summer, the festival offers opera performances and recitals in exceptional heritage settings.
The shows take place in remarkable sites in Périgord Noir: the Jardin des Enfeus in Sarlat, the Château du Domaine Départemental de Campagne, the Romanesque churches of Rouffignac, and other characteristic locations. These natural and historical settings provide unique acoustics and atmosphere for the lyrical performances.
Beyond the performances, the festival hosts a Lyric Singing Academy offering intensive training workshops for young singers. The invited artists—baritones, sopranos, tenors—come from the greatest French and international lyrical stages, including the Paris Opera.
The Più di Voce Festival in Périgord will celebrate its 20th edition in July 2026. The program and dates will be announced on the official website www.piudivoce.fr.
Performances take place in various locations in Périgord Noir, notably the Jardin des Enfeus in Sarlat-la-Canéda (24200).
Paid performances. Consult the official website for prices and reservations.
