Pont des Arts: All Forms of Art Gathered in Les Rousses
Pont des Arts is a unique cultural event, born in 2018 from the desire of the Association Culturelle Rousselande to reveal and promote the artistic potential of the population of Les Rousses and the Station. This completely free festival brings together all forms of art and crafts in a traveling exhibition through the village's community halls.
An Artistic Journey from Room to Room
The concept of Pont des Arts is based on a room-to-room journey through the village of Les Rousses. Visitors wander between the Salle Gérard Loye, the Espace Jeanne Fournier, the Mairie (Town Hall), the centre social (community center), the médiathèque (library), and the Omnibus, discovering different artistic exhibitions, workshops, and performances at each stop. All venues are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
All Artistic Disciplines Represented
The festival encompasses all artistic disciplines: visual arts (painting, photography, sculpture), literature and poetry (book signings, literary dictations), theater, music (concerts, medieval music), cinema (short film and animation screenings), dance, and art crafts (floral workshops, artisanal creations). The founding idea is to connect all arts and revive the territory through culture.
An Event Open to All
Pont des Arts is distinguished by its total accessibility: all exhibitions, activities, and shows are offered with free admission. The event traditionally opens on Thursday evening with a screening at the Cinéma Les Quinsonnets, and continues throughout the weekend with exhibitions and workshops in the various halls.
Concerts and Festive Moments
Concerts punctuate the festival, including an open-air concert in front of the town hall that concludes the days in a friendly atmosphere. Local authors are honored during book signings in the exhibition halls.
