Festival in Ille-et-Vilaine
The Printemps des Poètes is a national cultural event dedicated to poetry, held every year in March in Rennes, Ille-et-Vilaine (Brittany). In Rennes, the event takes the form of a program distributed across the city's libraries and the media libraries of Rennes Métropole: public readings, writing workshops, poetic performances, exhibitions, and meetings with poets, in libraries, media libraries, schools, and public spaces.
Supported nationally by the association Le Printemps des Poètes, the event invites the public each year to celebrate poetry in all its forms, around a renewed theme. The Rennes version relies on the network of Rennes Métropole's media libraries and municipal libraries, as well as local cultural actors.
The Rennes program is published annually by the libraries of Rennes and the media libraries of Rennes Métropole, as well as on the official national website. Most activities are free and open to all.
