Pyrénées Nature Photography Festival: Nature sublime in Cauterets
Every end of September, the spa town of Cauterets, at the gates of the National Park of the Pyrenees, hosts the Pyrénées Nature Photography Festival. Since 2015, this festival has become the major event for nature photography and naturalist film in the southwest of France.
A rich and varied program
The festival offers a dense program over three days: photographic exhibitions indoors and outdoors (17 exhibitions during the 11th edition), screenings of naturalist documentaries (14 films), conferences led by nature specialists, guided nature outings in the National Park of the Pyrenees, photo workshops, and creative workshops.
Prestigious partners
The festival is organized by Pyrénées Magazine in partnership with the French Office for Biodiversity and the National Park of the Pyrenees. This partnership guarantees the scientific and artistic quality of the program and anchors the festival in an approach to raising awareness about biodiversity conservation.
Cauterets: an exceptional natural setting
The choice of Cauterets as the festival location is no accident. This spa and ski resort, nestled in the heart of the Pyrenees at an altitude of 932 meters, is the gateway to the National Park of the Pyrenees and offers an exceptional natural setting to celebrate the beauty of nature.
