Chamber Music at the Heart of Conflent

Founded by Michel Rubio, the Rencontres Musicales de Mosset is a unique annual event that combines high-level musical education and concerts in the enchanting setting of the Mas de la Coûme, a historic estate nestled in the mountains of Conflent, in Mosset. For over twenty-five editions, these meetings have attracted musicians of all levels eager to perfect their art and share their passion in an exceptional natural setting.

A Multi-Instrument Workshop

The Rencontres Musicales offer a one-week multi-instrument workshop in August, covering the flute (with flutists Annie Ploquin-Rignol and Charlotte Vanouche), violin, viola, cello, piano, and guitar. Participants benefit from individual lessons given by renowned professors, chamber music sessions in duos, trios, and quartets, and orchestra practice.

Concerts at Mas de la Coûme

The workshop week is punctuated by concerts open to the public, performed by professors and participants at the Mas de la Coûme. These musical moments allow for sharing the results of the week's work and discovering a rich repertoire, from baroque to contemporary, in an intimate and warm atmosphere.

Mas de la Coûme, an Exceptional Venue

The Mas de la Coûme is a former agricultural estate located in the mountains above Mosset, near Prades. This historic site, surrounded by forests and meadows, offers an ideal setting for musical concentration and conviviality. Participants are housed and fed on-site, fostering exchanges and community life around music.
