A unique collaborative rock concept in Dordogne
The Rock'in 24 Festival was born in 2022 from a group of passionate musicians who came together around their common love for rock. The founding idea: to bring dozens of musicians of all levels together on the same stage to perform the great rock standards of the 1970s to 1990s together. This participatory and unifying concept immediately won over the public, with over 800 spectators from the very first edition in August 2023.
The Ménesplet stadium, an open-air rock setting
The festival takes place every summer at the Ménesplet municipal stadium, a rural commune in the Isle Valley in Dordogne. This sports facility transforms for one day into a true open-air rock arena, with a professional stage, a catering area offering grills and local specialties, a bar, and 70s vintage merchandising stalls. Additional entertainment—jugglers, acrobats—enhances the festive experience.
A prestigious godmother
Claire Balavoine, sister of the legendary Daniel Balavoine, immediately embraced the project and has supported the festival since its inception. Her presence brings a strong emotional dimension to the event; she participates in the festivities and offers signing sessions. This patronage anchors Rock'in 24 in the heritage of French rock while celebrating live music and sharing.
A growing festival
In three editions, the Rock'in 24 Festival has built a loyal and growing audience. From 50 musicians on stage at the first edition, the event brought together up to 70 artists for the third edition in 2025. The entrance fee remains deliberately affordable (5 euros, free for under 15s), in a spirit of sharing and democratization of rock music in rural areas.
Rock'in 24 — edition 2026
The 4th edition of the Rock'in 24 Festival takes place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Terrasses du château in Saint-Aulaye (24410), a new setting for this collaborative and participatory rock event organized by the Rockin Dordogne 24 association. On the program: several bands on two stages with non-stop music, featuring Farid Medjane (former drummer of Trust) as patron and guest of honor.
4th Edition — Saturday, August 22, 2026, in Saint-Aulaye
The Rock'in 24 Festival returns for its 4th edition on Saturday, August 22, 2026, this time at the Terrasses du château in Saint-Aulaye (24410), Dordogne. True to its friendly and accessible spirit, the festival brings together amateur musicians and established bands around rock's greatest standards, in a participatory atmosphere.
For this edition, several bands will perform successively on two stages with non-stop music throughout the evening. The festival welcomes Farid Medjane, iconic drummer of the band Trust, as its patron and guest of honor, who will also lead drum initiation workshops open to both children and adults.
Admission remains set at 10 € (free for those under 15), in keeping with the accessible spirit that has characterized the event since its creation.

Patron and guest of honor: Farid Medjane (former drummer of Trust), who also leads drum initiation workshops. Other artists will complete the line-up on the two stages.
