Russian Week: Russian culture at the heart of Bigorre

Since 1996, Russian Week has been a unique biennial event in the Southwest. Organized by the Théâtre de l'Or Bleu in partnership with the city of Tarbes, the cinema Le Parvis, and the Conseil Départemental des Hautes-Pyrénées, this event offers an immersion into Russian culture through theater performances, classical and traditional music concerts, film screenings, conferences, and exhibitions.

An eclectic program

Each edition explores a theme or an aspect of Russian culture: the great classics of literature (Pushkin, Chekhov, Dostoevsky), territories (Caucasus, Siberia), history, or contemporary society. In 2016, for its 20th anniversary, Russian Week hosted the Kolyada Theatre, a world-renowned company, for the only French date of its tour.

Committed partners

The event is supported by the association Eurcasia-Bigorre, which brings together Russia enthusiasts, as well as by Amnesty International and the Médianes association. The association Artisanat-Ménestrel also contributes to the promotion of Franco-Russian culture in Tarbes throughout the year.
