The first touring competitive sailing film festival in Lannion
The Sailorz Film Festival is a touring film festival entirely dedicated to competitive sailing. Founded in 2020, it annually presents a selection of exclusive documentaries filmed during the biggest offshore races: Vendée Globe, Route du Rhum, Transat, Ocean Race, and many others.
The festival travels to about forty French cities each year between February and April. In Lannion, a town in Trégor located near the Pink Granite Coast, the Sailorz Film Festival makes a stop for an evening of screenings. The films are shown on a big screen in cinemas or performance halls, offering spectators total immersion in the world of offshore racing.
The strength of the Sailorz Film Festival lies in its exclusive selection: the documentaries screened are often previews or unreleased films, shot up close with the crews at sea. Stories of records, solo crossings, storms, and emotional moments: the festival showcases the reality of offshore racing through images of remarkable cinematic quality.
The Sailorz Film Festival 2026 reaches an unprecedented scale with 45 dates across France, from February 9 to April 2, 2026. The festival stops in Lannion on March 18.
The selection features a new series of exclusive documentaries filmed during the latest editions of the Route du Rhum, Vendée Globe, Transat, and Ocean Race. Tickets available online at sailorzfilmfestival.com.
