The Saujon Music Festival offers an eclectic program that mixes classical music, jazz, and French chanson. The town hosts renowned artists such as Natalie Dessay, The Band from New York, and symphony orchestras for the pleasure of music lovers.

Musique Saujon — edition 2026
Saujon's 2026 music season opens on Sunday, June 21st with the Fête de la Musique (free concerts on three stages in the town) and continues throughout the summer with the CARA Musical Thursdays (8 classical concerts in Saujon church, from July 2nd to August 20th, 2026).
A Music Season between Fête de la Musique and Musical Thursdays
The 2026 summer music season in Saujon brings together two distinct yet complementary highlights, making the spa town of Charente-Maritime a cultural destination during the summer.
Fête de la Musique — Sunday, June 21st, 2026
Organized by the City of Saujon, the Fête de la Musique unfolds on three stages set up in the town: la Gare, rue Carnot, place du Général de Gaulle (place de l'Église) and the port de Ribérou. Free concerts from 3 PM, in partnership with participating bars and restaurants (20-minute bar crawl per establishment). The 2026 program features a choir, the Municipal School of Music and Dance, and local groups with varied styles (chanson, rock, DJ, banda).
Jeudis Musicaux — from July 2nd to August 20th, 2026
Launched in 1989, the Jeudis Musicaux season is supported by the Communauté d'Agglomération Royan Atlantique (CARA). Over four months, it showcases more than a hundred nationally and internationally renowned artists in 33 churches and temples in the CARA municipalities. In Saujon, eight concerts are scheduled every Thursday from July 2nd to August 20th, 2026, in the intimate setting of the town's church.

Concerts take place in various locations in the commune — church, La Salicorne (performance hall), public squares, port de Ribérou — offering varied atmospheres in a pleasant setting in Charente-Maritime, 15 km southeast of Royan.
