Summer Country Show: the country event of Noirmoutier

The Summer Country Show is a unique event in France: a country music festival organized on an Atlantic island, in the heart of the Domaine Le Midi in Barbâtre, on the island of Noirmoutier in Vendée. Created in 2014, this festival is the only country event to offer accommodation directly on the festival site, allowing festival-goers to experience total immersion in the country universe for an entire weekend.

An exceptional site between ocean and pine forest

Domaine Le Midi is an exceptional 14-hectare site located at the southern tip of the island of Noirmoutier, bordered by 8 kilometers of fine sandy beach. This preserved natural setting, between the Atlantic Ocean, wooded dunes, and fragrant pine forests, offers an incomparable backdrop for a country festival. The site's capacity exceeds 1,500 people, and festival-goers can enjoy the domain's facilities: swimming pools, tennis courts, pétanque courts, sailing school, and aquagym classes.

Three days of country music and celebration

The Summer Country Show program revolves around several highlights. The open-air concerts feature orchestras and artists specializing in country music, American folk, and Western music. The Frank Silver Orchestra and the Chattahoochee Orchestra have notably left their mark in previous editions with their lively performances blending country, bluegrass, and Southern rock.

The country and line dance balls are the beating heart of the festival. From morning to night, regional country dance clubs take over the dance floors for demonstrations and open sessions for everyone. Introductory workshops for line dance and couple country dance are offered throughout the weekend, allowing beginners to join the party from the start.

A life-size western village

Beyond the music, the Summer Country Show offers a true western village with a gathering of American cars and custom motorcycles, western craft stalls (hats, boots, belts, Native American jewelry), children's activities, and food stalls offering American specialties—barbecue, burgers, cornbread—alongside local Vendée products. The star attraction remains the 24-meter "Lucky" bull truck, a true icon of the festival.

Unprecedented accommodation on the festival site

The major originality of the Summer Country Show is the offer of accommodation packages directly on the domain: camping pitches, lodges, mobile homes, and canvas and wood tents. Weekend passes include two nights on-site and access to the three days of the festival, for a complete immersive experience in the country atmosphere, lulled by the sound of the nearby ocean.
