Classical music and environment festival in Cornouaille
SuperNature Breizh is a classical music and environment festival that takes place in spring in southern Finistère, in Cornouaille (Concarneau, La Forêt-Fouesnant, Pont-Aven, Trégunc, Melgven…). Launched in 2025, this itinerant festival offers open-air concerts, multidisciplinary shows, conferences, and participatory workshops in remarkable heritage sites. The program blends classical music and environmental commitment. The second edition will be held from May 16 to 25, 2026, with composer Benoît Menut as associated composer.
Inaugurated in 2025, SuperNature Breizh is a festival that reinvents classical music by placing it at the heart of the natural landscapes of southern Finistère. Supported by the Ensemble Musique et Danse en Normandie, this itinerant artistic event unfolds across several communes in Cornouaille: Concarneau, La Forêt-Fouesnant, Elliant, Melgven, Pont-Aven, Tourc'h, and Trégunc.
The festival defines itself as «Classical music… but not only!» and keeps its promise by offering an audacious program that blends piano, voice, dance, and contemporary creations. The shows take place outdoors, in remarkable natural and architectural heritage sites, offering an immersive experience where music dialogues with the landscape. The inaugural 2025 edition honored composer Florentine Mulsant, whose work «Le Chant du Soleil» was awarded at the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2024, as well as pieces by Debussy and Stravinsky revisited in the «Sacré Printemps!» program. The second edition, from May 16 to 25, 2026, honors associated composer Benoît Menut.
Beyond concerts, SuperNature Breizh stands out with its multidisciplinary shows, conferences, and participatory workshops that link artistic creation and environmental awareness. These moments of exchange invite the public to discover local ecosystems while immersing themselves in music, making the festival a true laboratory for the encounter between art and nature.
The festival offers a program accessible to all ages, from demanding classical concerts to more unexpected forms, creating a dialogue between learned music and popular culture. The 2026 venues notably include the Musée de Pont-Aven, the Manoir du Stang in La Forêt-Fouesnant, the Ville Close de Concarneau, and the hiking trails of Melgven.
By choosing to establish itself in southern Finistère, SuperNature Breizh highlights a territory of exceptional natural and heritage richness. The festival contributes to the cultural influence of Cornouaille and offers both residents and visitors a unique way to rediscover their landscapes through the prism of music and contemporary artistic creation.
