The 2nd edition of the Trail du Pinhadar, scheduled for June 6, 2026, in Luxey (Landes), has been cancelled. Three events were initially planned to start from the city stadium: 17 km Trail, 9 km Trail (with a new cani-trail option this year), and a 4-5 km walk. Initially Planned Program
The 2026 edition of the Trail du Pinhadar was supposed to offer three events starting from the city stadium in Luxey, in the heart of the Landes de Gascogne forest:
- 17 km Trail (start 9:15 AM) — new for 2026, extended course compared to the 15 km of the 1st edition, open to cani-trail
- 9 km Trail (start 9:30 AM) — accessible discovery course, open to cani-trail (new for 2026)
- 4-5 km Walk (start 10:00 AM) — friendly forest stroll
The races were to take forest paths in the Parc naturel régional des Landes de Gascogne, between pine forests and oak groves, with water and dried fruit refreshments, welcome coffee and pastries offered upon arrival in the tradition of Landes hospitality.
What's next?
If the Café Chant Cigales association announces a new edition of the Trail du Pinhadar in 2027 or later, this page will be updated. The 1st edition was held on June 7, 2025, with two races of 9 and 15 km and a 4.5 km hike, in a friendly atmosphere appreciated by participants.

Access
By car: Luxey is located about 80 km south of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park. From the A65 motorway, take the Captieux exit and follow signs for Luxey via the D651. From Mont-de-Marsan (50 km), take the D932 then the D651. Free parking at the Luxey city stadium and in the village streets.
By carpooling: As Luxey village is relatively isolated, carpooling is recommended. The organizers encourage runners to share their journeys.
Starting point
Luxey city stadium, 40120 Luxey. The start and finish for all events are at the city stadium, which also serves as the logistical base with changing rooms, toilets, and a reception area. The area is shaded and pleasant for waiting and recovery.
Schedule
- Registration and bib collection: from 8 a.m. at the city stadium
- Trail starts (9 km and 15 km): 9 a.m.
- 4.5 km hike start: 9:30 a.m.
- End of events: around 2 p.m.

Welcome coffee and pastries offered at the finish line for all participants, in the tradition of Landes hospitality. Water and dried fruit refreshments on the trail routes. Changing rooms and toilets available at the city stadium. The atmosphere is friendly and family-oriented; runners are invited to stay after the race to share a moment together.
Recommended equipment
Trail or running shoes suitable for forest terrain (sand, pine needles, roots). Bring water for the hike. The routes are in the forest and are mostly shaded, making the run pleasant even in June.

The Trail du Pinhadar offers several events adapted to all levels:
- 15 km Trail: a technical and varied course through the maritime pine forest, oak groves, and wetlands of the area. The trails alternate between forest paths, single tracks, and sandy passages typical of the moors.
- 9 km Trail: a discovery course accessible to beginner and experienced runners, offering a beautiful overview of the diversity of the Landes forest landscapes.
- 4.5 km Hike: a friendly walk to discover the forest at a more relaxed pace, ideal for families.
Pinhadar: the pine forest
The name “Pinhadar” means pine forest in Gascon, referring to the forest massif that characterizes the Landes de Gascogne. The trail follows paths that wind through this unique landscape, where maritime pines grow alongside pedunculate oaks, ferns, and heather. Runners cross varied natural environments: shaded undergrowth, bright clearings, and the edges of watercourses.
