Concerts of variety, rock and humor in the courtyard of the Chateau de l'Emperi in Salon-de-Provence
Every summer, the Chateau de l'Emperi in Salon-de-Provence transforms into an open-air concert hall to host the festival Un Ete au Chateau de l'Emperi. This medieval fortress, built between the 12th and 16th centuries, perched on the rock of Puech, offers a spectacular setting for open-air musical evenings that bring together the biggest artists from the French and international scene.
The program of Ete a l'Emperi is distinguished by its eclecticism. French variety, rock, chanson, humor, and international artists share the stage in a series of concerts and shows programmed in July. The biggest names in music perform in the castle courtyard: Patrick Bruel, Pascal Obispo, Patrick Fiori, -M-, Kendji Girac, The Pixies, Zaz, Alain Souchon, Robert Plant...
The Chateau de l'Emperi is one of the largest medieval fortresses in Provence. Residence of the archbishops of Arles, then of the Holy Roman Germanic Empire (hence its name "Emperi"), it has dominated the city of Salon-de-Provence for nearly a thousand years. Its inner courtyard, with generous dimensions, offers remarkable acoustics and a panorama of the city's rooftops and the Provençal hills.
L'Ete au Chateau de l'Emperi is organized by the City of Salon-de-Provence, which programs an ambitious summer season each year, combining concerts, live performances, and festivals in its heritage sites. Ticketing is available online on the city's website and at usual points of sale.
The 2026 edition of Summer at Château de l'Emperi takes place from July 1st to 18th, 2026, in the main courtyard of Château de l'Emperi, in Salon-de-Provence.
