Emerging photography in freedom
The Festival OFF d'Arles, organized by the association La Kabine, was born from the desire to offer a space for free and accessible creation alongside the Rencontres de la Photographie. Since its first edition in 2024, the OFF has established itself as a true artistic laboratory that encourages experimentation and dialogue around contemporary images.
A free festival accessible to all
One of the strengths of the Festival OFF lies in its complete freeness. By investing the galleries, unusual places, city walls, and associative spaces of Arles, the OFF makes photography accessible to the greatest number. Emerging artists, independent collectives, and photographers from around the world find a free space for expression here, without the constraints of institutional programming.
An essential complement to the Rencontres
The Festival OFF unfolds at the same time as the Rencontres de la Photographie, offering a natural extension to the official program. This complementarity enriches Arles' summer photography offerings and allows visitors to discover a complete panorama of contemporary photographic creation, from big names to emerging talents.
Exhibitions, screenings, and meetings
The OFF's program includes exhibitions in various venues, screenings, workshops, and events that animate the city throughout the summer. The festival places a particular emphasis on emerging creation, with open formats that promote experimentation and encounters between artists and the public.
