Vannes Echos Jazz 2026 — 3rd Edition
From Wednesday, July 8th to Saturday, July 11th, 2026, Vannes Echos Jazz returns for its 3rd summer edition, completely free of charge. The main stage, set up in the Jardin des Remparts on Rue Francis Decker, hosts two concerts every evening at 8:30 PM and 10:30 PM: Ludivine Issambourg Septet feat. Wolfgang Valbrun followed by Ghost-Note on July 8th, Robinson Khoury "MŸA" followed by Dhafer Youssef "Shiraz" on the 9th, Stochelo Rosenberg Trio feat. Gwen Cahue followed by Thomas Dutronc "Jazz and Friends" on the 10th, and Les Amazones d'Afrique followed by Angélique Kidjo "Hope" on the 11th.
Jazz Afternoon Teas at the Jardin de Limur
Every afternoon at 4:00 PM, the Jardin de Limur hosts an intimate concert: So Wat! on July 8th, Les Bavagonds on the 9th, and the Hot Club de Rennes on the 10th and 11th.
Around thirty concerts in the clubs
Surrounding the main stage, sixteen cafés and restaurants in Vannes are partnering with the festival to showcase regional and local artists: Chez Fred, Buvette, Comme à la Maison, Crapule, Derrière, L'Antidote, Le Comptoir du Port, Le Daily Gourmand, Ô Kalypso, Le Délice Café, Les Valseuses, Porte Prison – Les Z'Oubliettes, Rive Gauche, Ty Colibri, Le Jardin, and Les Halles. Concerts take place at 6:30 PM, 7:00 PM, and 10:00 PM, complemented by open-air sets at Place de Gaulle at 7:30 PM and at La Traverse at 6:00 PM.
A festival open to the whole city
Vannes Echos Jazz also spreads into the neighborhoods — Rohan, Nord-Gare, Tohannic, Ménimur, Beaupré-Lalande, and Kercado — through the Brass Band VEJ educational program and evenings co-organized with community centers and neighborhood councils. Special attention is given to "underserved" audiences, with musical encounters at the CHBA hospital and the local prison. The entire program is free, with food and drinks available on-site.

Sixteen cafés and restaurants in Vannes will host festival concerts: Chez Fred, Buvette, Comme à la Maison, Crapule, Derrière, L'Antidote, Le Comptoir du Port, Le Daily Gourmand, Ô Kalypso, Le Délice Café, Les Valseuses, Porte Prison – Les Z'Oubliettes, Rive Gauche, Ty Colibri, Le Jardin, and Les Halles. Additionally, there are outdoor stages at Place de Gaulle, La Traverse, and the Jardin de Limur.
The festival in the neighborhoods
From July 8th to 11th, free concerts will take place in the neighborhoods of Vannes — Rohan, Nord-Gare, Tohannic, Ménimur, Beaupré-Lalande, and Kercado — during evenings co-organized with community centers, neighborhood houses, and councils, centered around the Brass Band VEJ educational program. The festival also organizes musical encounters at the CHBA hospital and the local prison, as well as site tours for residents of the Morbihan public mental health facility.

Access and Transport
By car: Vannes is accessible via the RN165 expressway from Nantes (1h30) and Lorient (45 min), and via the RN166 from Rennes (1h30). Parking near the city center: parking de la Rabine, parking du port, and parking de l'Étang au Duc.
By train: Vannes station is served by TGV from Paris-Montparnasse (2h30) and by TER Bretagne regional trains. It is a 10-minute walk from the historic center and concert venues.

Vannes Echos Jazz: Jazz in the Heart of the City of the Veneti
Launched in 2024, the Vannes Echos Jazz festival continues the rich jazz tradition of Vannes, a city that has hosted jazz festivals since 1980 under various names: Jazz à Vannes, Jazz en Ville, and later Les Hivernales du Jazz. This project, supported by the Golfe du Morbihan – Vannes Agglomération, brings the sound of jazz to Vannes all year round.
A Unique Four-Season Concept
Vannes Echos Jazz stands out for its four-season format, with events spread throughout the year: the Collab' series in summer and autumn, the Christmas Deiz in December, and the Jazz Sessions and professional workshops. The summer highlight takes place in early July, featuring four days of concerts.
Iconic Venues for Jazz
The festival takes over the most beautiful spots in Vannes. The main stage at the Jardin des Remparts, on rue Francis Decker, offers a spectacular setting at the foot of the fortifications. The Jardin de Limur, a green oasis in the city center, hosts the "Jazz Tea Times" in the late afternoon. Sixteen cafés and restaurants in the historic center—the festival's "clubs"—feature regional and local artists, joined by open-air stages at Place de Gaulle and La Traverse.
