About Waya Festival
The Waya Festival is a Latin American festival held annually in Montpellier, in Parc Montcalm. Organized by the MAAD Familia association, it celebrates Latin American music, dances, arts, and gastronomy on the theme « Nous, ensemble » (« Waya » meaning « all of us together » in the Wayuu language).

The Waya Festival offers a day and an evening of immersion in Latin American cultures: reggaeton, electro tropical, cumbia, salsa, latin urban, pop latino, afro-Caribbean, songo, timba, and batucada follow one another on two live stages (concerts, bands, and DJ sets).
Beyond music, the festival offers dance shows, a musical springboard (the « Saltó del Waya »), a « pueblito » craft village with creators and association stands, food trucks and refreshment stands offering Latin American specialties (empanadas, tacos, ceviches) and cocktails.
Waya Festival — edition 2026
The 5th edition of the Waya Festival will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Parc Montcalm in Montpellier, from noon to 1 AM. A day and evening of Latin American music, dances, arts, and gastronomy, with over 50 artists on two live stages.
Waya Festival 2026 — 5th Edition
For its 5th edition, the Waya Festival takes over Parc Montcalm on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 12 PM to 1 AM. On the program: reggaeton, tropical electro, cumbia, salsa, Latin urban, Latin pop, Afro-Caribbean, songo, timba, and batucada, spread across two stages (concerts, live bands, and DJ sets).
The festival also features dance shows, the musical springboard « Saltó del Waya », an artisan village « pueblito », food trucks and refreshment stands with Latin American specialties. New for 2026: easier access via tramway line 5, stop « Cité Créative – Parc Montcalm ».
