The Akawa Festival is a traveling artistic event that tours Morbihan every summer, offering outdoor performances in unusual and bucolic locations. Created by the Compagnie Les Yeux dans les Crins, the festival combines theater, circus, puppetry, equestrian arts, and unique artistic forms, with an approach to live performance accessible to all.

Performances in unique locations

The Akawa Festival's uniqueness lies in its choice of performance venues. Shows take place in farms, gardens, clearings, and natural spaces, creating a unique proximity between artists and spectators. La Ferme du Coqueno in Sarzeau, with its bucolic setting and rural atmosphere, is one of the festival's emblematic sites. Other stops are scheduled in Questembert, Sainte-Hélène, and Séné.

An eclectic and family-friendly program

Each festival evening features three consecutive shows, offering a varied artistic journey. The performances combine storytelling, circus, puppetry, physical theater, and equine interaction, with formats suitable for all audiences, from the youngest to adults. The focus is on imagination, poetry, and emotion, in creations that question our relationship with the world and nature.

The Akawa Festival aims to be a moment of friendliness and sharing. Each evening opens at 6:30 PM with a catering and bar area offering local products. Spectators sit on the grass, on hay bales, or improvised bleachers, in a relaxed and warm atmosphere. The festival is designed as a festive gathering accessible to all, celebrating life without borders.
