About AZG

Avoine Zone Groove is a funk, soul, and groove music festival organized every summer in Avoine, in Indre-et-Loire. Created in 2000 by the town of Avoine, it has grown from 300 spectators in the town hall to a major event attracting thousands of festival-goers over three days in July. The festival offers a program mixing international artists and French talent, complemented by a free village with entertainment, concerts, and musical discoveries. The 2026 edition celebrates the festival's 25th anniversary.

Twenty-five years of groove in Touraine

Avoine Zone Groove was born in 2000 in Avoine, a small town in Chinonais in Indre-et-Loire, located about 45 minutes from Tours. What was initially just a modest musical event in the town hall, welcoming 300 spectators per day, has become over the years one of the reference festivals for funk, soul, and groove music in France. In 2026, the festival celebrates its 25th edition, a quarter-century of groove and good vibes.

A program focused on groove

True to its musical DNA, Avoine Zone Groove offers a program each year centered on groove music in the broadest sense: funk, soul, R&B, hip-hop, pop, but also incursions into rock, French chanson, and world music. The 2025 edition left a mark with the appearance of Kool & The Gang, legends of global funk, alongside The Avener, Ben Mazué, Jérémy Frérot, 47Ter, and Deluxe. The free village offered concerts by Swamp City Six (swing, ragtime, and blues) and Mister Chatterbox (ska and reggae).

The free village, a space for discovery

One of the unique features of Avoine Zone Groove is its free village, accessible to everyone without a ticket. This space offers concerts, entertainment, workshops, and food and craft stalls. It provides a true festival experience accessible to the greatest number and allows for the discovery of emerging artists in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

A festival supported by the community

Avoine Zone Groove is organized by the Town of Avoine, which gives it a solid institutional foundation. The festival benefits from the support of public and private partners and relies on a team of dedicated volunteers. This organization allows for a high-quality event at attractive prices, in the spirit of cultural democratization.

2026 Edition: The 25th Anniversary

For its 25th edition, on July 3, 4, and 5, 2026, the festival announces a festive program with Louane, Magic System, Claudio Capéo, Carbonne, Adèle Castillon, Aime Simone, Hypaton, and Marine. The free village will once again be at the heart of the experience, with artists to discover and entertainment for all.
