The world meeting place for blues and boogie-woogie piano
The Beaune Blues Boogie Festival International was born in 2006 from the passion of a group of Beaune music lovers for blues and boogie-woogie piano. Every year, for five days in late November and early December, the festival transforms Beaune into the world capital of these music genres, welcoming virtuoso pianists from all over the globe. The festival is distinguished by its friendly and intimate atmosphere, far from large mass events, prioritizing artistic quality and proximity between musicians and the public.
Exceptional venues for a unique program
The festival's program unfolds in several emblematic venues in Beaune: the Lanterne Magique, the city's performance hall, the Théâtre de Beaune, the Comédie du Vin, the Caves du Domaine Albert Bichot, and the Hôtel Ibis Beaune Centre. This diversity of venues allows for various formats: classical concerts, cabaret evenings, gourmet lunches accompanied by live music, and jam sessions in the wine cellars. The alliance of blues, gastronomy, and Burgundy wine makes the Beaune Blues Boogie a complete sensory experience.
Internationally renowned artists
Over the years, the festival has hosted the biggest names in international blues and boogie-woogie piano: Silvan Zingg, Julien Brunetaud, Jérôme Etcheberry, Ben Toury, Frank Muschalle, David Hermlin, and many others. The 2025 edition, the 19th of its kind, notably featured performances by Mountain Men, Stéfan Patry en Quintet, Ben Beck Trio, and Jean-Pierre Bertrand Trio, confirming the international dimension of the event.
A festival rooted in the Burgundian terroir
The Beaune Blues Boogie Festival doesn't just offer music: it also celebrates the Burgundian art of living. Gourmet lunches in wine cellars and estates, wine tastings, and cabaret evenings are an integral part of the program. This combination of music and gastronomy has helped forge the festival's unique identity, attracting festival-goers from all over Europe and beyond each year.
