A New Humor Event in Burgundy

Created in 2023, the Beaune Humour Festival is an ambitious cultural event that has quickly established itself in the French comedy scene. Organized annually in March at the Lanterne Magique, Beaune's performance venue, this festival offers two evenings of humor with national headliners and promising opening acts. The stated goal from its inception was to make Beaune a major center for humor in France.

Headliners and Discoveries

The festival stands out with a lineup that combines established artists and emerging talents. Each evening features a headliner preceded by an opening act from the Comedy Trip, a network of open mic nights and showcases for young comedians. In 2025, Nadia Roz presented her show La Fille du 7e with Mélodie Fontaine and François Guédon as opening acts, while Marcus delivered Super Sympa with David Azencot from the Comedy Trip opening.

The Lanterne Magique is the performance venue in the city of Beaune, located in the heart of the town. A Rising Festival

In just four editions, the Beaune Humour Festival has carved out a prime spot in the French comedy landscape. The 2026 edition features Sophia Aram, a columnist for France Inter, and Mayel El Hajaoui, known for his role as Georges in the TF1 series Demain nous appartient, with opening acts by Victor Parnaso and Thiébaud Derozier, two comedians from Burgundy. The festival is now playing "with the big leagues" of national comedy.
