The Blueberry Festival celebrates this small emblematic fruit of the Millevaches plateau and the acidic lands of Limousin every summer. For over twelve editions, the event has brought together producers, artisans, and visitors at the Nergout leisure area, on the shores of Lake Vassivière, for a festive day dedicated to gastronomy.

An exceptional gourmet market

The heart of the festival is a gourmet market bringing together around forty exhibitors: blueberry producers, apple juice, fruits and vegetables, cheesemakers, charcuterie makers, Limousin specialties, artisans, and creators. Visitors can taste tarts, jams, syrups, and other blueberry-based preparations, as well as discover local products from Creuse.

Activities and conviviality

The Blueberry Festival also offers sports activities — pétanque, tennis, hiking — and folk or musical shows throughout the day. The family-friendly and convivial atmosphere, in the natural setting of Lake Vassivière, makes this event an unmissable summer gathering for locals and holidaymakers in Limousin.
