Street arts in Buzançais

BUZ'en Scène is the street arts festival of Buzançais, created in 2015 by the City of Buzançais and the Val de l'Indre - Brenne Community of Communes. Every year in May, Place de Gaulle and the streets of the town center transform into an open-air stage to host professional circus, street theater, and performing arts companies.

A free festival for everyone

Admission to the festival is completely free, making it an event accessible to all audiences. The shows are designed for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest, in a family-friendly and convivial spirit. Families can enjoy the outdoor performances while also enjoying food and drinks from the on-site bar and catering services.

Professional companies

Each edition invites professional companies specializing in street arts: contemporary circus, street theater, itinerant shows, acrobatics, and visual performances. Artists take over the public spaces of Buzançais to offer performances up close to the audience, in the tradition of fairground and street arts.

11 editions of conviviality

Since its creation in 2015, BUZ'en Scène has continued to grow, becoming a must-attend event in the cultural programming of Val de l'Indre. The 2025 edition, the 11th of its name, confirmed the festival's place in the cultural landscape of southern Indre, with companies like Cie Colbok and their show "Pierre Paule et Paul".

A unifying event

BUZ'en Scène contributes to the animation of Buzançais town center and the cultural influence of the community of communes. The festival is part of a broader cultural program supported by Val de l'Indre - Brenne, alongside other events such as the Ska Buz Festival and Objectif Cuivres.
