Duck a Dub

ℹ️ Festival discontinued. After ten years of existence, the Fadas Gascons association organized a final evening titled "Duck a Dub, the last" on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Pavie, presented as the definitive conclusion of the event. The Grand Auch Cœur de Gascogne tourist office relayed this "last dance" for the association's 10th anniversary. No edition is announced for 2026 or beyond.

Duck a Dub: Dub in the Heart of Gascony

Duck a Dub was a unique festival that made the Gascon countryside vibrate to the captivating rhythm of reggae, dub, and ska. Created in 2015 by the Fadas Gascons association, it offered a weekend entirely dedicated to music and arts in an exceptional natural setting, nestled in the heart of the Gers department.

Concerts and Sound Systems

The festival combined quality live concerts and sound systems, featuring artists from the French and international reggae, dub, and ska scene. The bass resonated in the Parc Artistique les Abranas, creating an electrifying atmosphere in this green setting. Music lovers discovered emerging artists alongside recognized headliners of the European dub scene. The last evening on May 3, 2025, notably featured Fadas Sound, Wandem Sound System & The Hornsmen Section, Ashkabad, and El Chente.

Arts, Circus, and Creativity

Beyond the musical program, Duck a Dub offered circus arts shows, aerial acrobatics, live graffiti, vinyl record fairs, and dance workshops. A spirit that was both roots and creative permeated the entire festival, where one could also discover artisanal creations, screen printing workshops, and spaces dedicated to the solidarity economy.

An Eco-Responsible Event

The festival was committed to an eco-responsible approach with catering favoring short supply chains and producers from the Gers, reusable cups, and rigorous selective sorting. This philosophy reflected the values of solidarity and respect for the environment championed by the organizers.

The End of an Adventure

After about ten editions since 2015 (the 5th edition was held on June 28 and 29, 2019, at Domaine de Besmaux, the 6th in June 2022), the Fadas Gascons association chose to turn the page. On May 3, 2025, a final evening in Pavie celebrated the association's 10th anniversary and marked the end of the Duck a Dub festival. If a new initiative were to emerge, the information would be relayed by the association and the Grand Auch tourist office.
