A magical night in Reims' museums
Every year in May, the European Museum Night transforms Reims' cultural institutions into places of celebration and discovery. From 8 PM to midnight, museums open their doors for free and offer an exceptional program that reinvents the traditional visit.
The Saint-Remi Museum
Housed in the former Benedictine abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Saint-Remi Museum offers numerous participatory workshops related to the works in its permanent collection: ceramics, mosaics, tapestry, and embroidery. Music is omnipresent, notably with concerts in the impressive tapestry hall, offering exceptional acoustics in a remarkable architectural setting.
The Le Vergeur Museum
The Le Vergeur Museum features a sublime video mapping display visible all evening on the building's magnificent Art Deco stained-glass windows. Activities related to Japanese culture are offered: traditional Okinawan karate and kobudo, Furoshiki, origami, calligraphy, and tea tasting. Guided tours are conducted by torchlight after dark, creating a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere.
The Foujita Chapel
The Foujita Chapel hosts the show "Léonard Foujita and the Illustrious Unknown" combining dance, music, theater, and rap. Demonstrations of traditional Japanese archery (kyudo) and activities specially designed for children complete the program of this unique venue decorated by the Franco-Japanese artist.
An event for everyone
Accessible to all and entirely free, the Museum Night in Reims is an unmissable event that attracts families, students, and art lovers in a festive and friendly atmosphere.
