About Festi D'Lire Jeunes
The Festi D'Lire Jeunes is a festive and entirely free day dedicated to books and reading for young people, from early childhood to late adolescence. From 10 AM to 6 PM, at the La Pléiade hall in Allevard, it combines a youth book fair featuring about twenty local authors with a rich program of activities, shows, and games for the whole family.

Programme Festi D'Lire Jeunes 2026
Sunday, October 4th, 2026, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM — La Pléiade, Allevard
- 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM — Children's and teen book fair, all genres: book signings and meet-and-greets with local authors. The fair hosts around twenty authors each year (21 in 2025); the 2026 list is yet to be announced.
- Morning and afternoon — Two free performances, with specific times to be confirmed:
- Ourneck le troubadour ou le voyage initiatique, by Colporteurs de rêves — theater, music, and juggling, suitable for ages 4 and up, 55 minutes.
- Improv theater, by the Quand mêmes — interactive performance with the audience.
- 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM — Refreshments and food available on-site.
Both shows are free, but require booking via HelloAsso. The 2026 edition is organized in partnership with the Sou des écoles d'Allevard.
As of mid-August 2026, the full schedule of activities from local associations and artists, as well as the list of guest authors, has not yet been finalized. Previous editions have featured chess introductions, animated film demonstrations, writing and dance workshops, and board games.

The Festi D'Lire Jeunes is hosted by the Allevard-based association ABAcc, which supports local authors in completing and distributing their books. The festival aims to demonstrate that reading remains a vibrant interest for young people, from early childhood through to the teenage years.
The event takes place at the La Pléiade hall, featuring a book fair where around twenty local authors sign their children's and young adult titles (21 in 2025, 22 in 2024, 18 in 2023), alongside family-friendly performances and activities led by associations and artists from the Grésivaudan area. Previous editions have included writing and dance workshops, chess introductions, animated film demonstrations, board games, and creative craft stations.
