A unique multidisciplinary festival in Brittany

Founded in 1983 at the initiative of Jean-Michel Boinet and Marie Lostys, the Festival Art Rock was born from the desire to create an ambitious cultural event open to all artistic forms in Côtes-d'Armor. Supported by the Wild Rose association, it has established itself over more than forty years as one of the major cultural events in the Grand Ouest region and one of the most recognized multidisciplinary festivals in France.

The city center of Saint-Brieuc as a playground

Every Pentecost weekend, Art Rock transforms the city center of Saint-Brieuc into a vast space for creation and performance. Five main stages — the Grande Scène, the Scène B, the Grand Théâtre, the Forum, and the Petit Théâtre — host dozens of concerts, dance performances, circus and street arts shows, contemporary art installations, and video projections. The festival takes over the squares, streets, and emblematic buildings of the city.

A demanding and eclectic musical program

Art Rock's musical program mixes international headliners and emerging discoveries, from rock to electro, hip-hop to French chanson, jazz to world music. Among the artists who have marked recent editions: Zaho de Sagazan, Étienne Daho, Morcheeba, The Libertines, Texas, Franz Ferdinand, Philippe Katerine, Cat Power, Angélique Kidjo, and Irène Drésel.

Beyond music

Art Rock stands out for its multidisciplinary dimension: contemporary dance performances, street theater, circus, digital installations, contemporary art exhibitions, and Rock'n Toques, its gastronomic section bringing together starred chefs and local artisans around quality street food. The festival is also committed to a policy of sustainable development and accessibility for all audiences.
