Festival de la Pucelle in Sainte-Catherine-de-Fierbois

The Festival de la Pucelle is a biennial gathering for contemporary music held outdoors in Sainte-Catherine-de-Fierbois, a town steeped in history related to Joan of Arc, in Indre-et-Loire. Since its first edition in 2010, this festival has established itself as a major event on the Touraine music scene.

A Rich and Eclectic Program

The Festival de la Pucelle offers a program that celebrates musical diversity. Each edition brings together bands with varied influences on stage: ska, rock, French chanson, hip-hop, funk, jazz, and electro. This plurality of styles appeals to a wide and diverse audience, from alternative rock fans to urban music enthusiasts.

An Eco-Responsible Festival

The Festival de la Pucelle is committed to an ambitious zero-waste approach. The organization implements reusable cups, a waste reduction policy, rigorous selective sorting, dry toilets, sourcing of local products, and a shuttle system to minimize environmental impact. This responsible approach is at the core of the festival's identity.

A Community Commitment

Led by the ASC of Sainte-Catherine-de-Fierbois and supported by the Community of Communes of the Indre Valley, the festival mobilizes nearly a hundred volunteers for each edition. Musicians, singers, artists, and technicians come together in a spirit of sharing and conviviality that is the strength of this event.

A Place Steeped in History

Sainte-Catherine-de-Fierbois owes its name to the passage of Joan of Arc in 1429, who found a sword behind the church altar there. The festival pays homage to this historical figure while offering a resolutely contemporary event, anchored in its time and open to the world.
