World music in the open air on the right bank of Bordeaux
For over 30 years, the Festival des Hauts de Garonne has marked the start of summer on the right bank of Bordeaux. Supported by the association Musiques de Nuit and Le Rocher de Palmer, this free, open-air festival offers four evenings of world music concerts.
The festival takes place in four emblematic parks on the right bank: Parc du Castel in Floirac, Parc Palmer in Cenon, Parc du Bois Fleuri in Lormont, and Domaine de Beauval in Bassens. Each park hosts two open-air concerts in a friendly and family atmosphere.
Access is completely free, with no reservation required. World cuisine stands accompany the musical evenings, reinforcing the spirit of sharing and discovery that characterizes the festival.
The festival contributes to the cultural dynamism of Bordeaux's right bank and highlights these often lesser-known towns, creating moments of meeting and sharing around music.
Located in Cenon, in the heart of the Gironde department, Hauts de Garonne benefits from a privileged geographical setting. The Bordeaux metropolitan area and its surroundings offer exceptional quality of life, between renowned vineyards, the Landes forest, and the Atlantic coast. This event contributes to the regional cultural identity and the artistic creativity of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine territory.
The Festival des Hauts de Garonne returns from July 2 to 10, 2026, for four evenings of free open-air concerts, dedicated to world music on the right bank of Bordeaux.
