The major meeting for French gastronomy and terroirs in Lyon
Created in 2023 by the association Le Tour des Terroirs, the Festival des Terroirs brings together chefs, artisans, and producers every spring in Lyon to celebrate the gastronomic richness of French terroirs. Hosted at HEAT in the Confluence district, this free event features a food court animated by 50 chefs, a producers' market, masterclasses, culinary battles, and concerts, attracting over 15,000 gourmet visitors.
Supported by the association Le Tour des Terroirs, active since 2017 in promoting French terroirs and responsible consumption, the Festival des Terroirs has established itself in just a few editions as a must-attend gastronomic event in Lyon. Since its first edition in 2023, sponsored by Michelin-starred chef Hélène Darroze, the event has continued to grow.
The festival spans 3,500 m² in the heart of HEAT Lyon Confluence, with several complementary spaces. The food court, animated by around fifty chefs from all over France, offers culinary creations to enjoy on-site. The producers' market brings together artisans and farmers from all regions, offering visitors the chance to discover and purchase exceptional products.
The Terroirs stage hosts masterclasses, testimonials from personalities in the agricultural and gastronomic world, and spectacular culinary battles where chefs compete on sweet and savory themes before a jury of experts. The gourmet bookstore offers cookbook signings and meetings with authors.
A highlight of each edition, the Trophées des Terroirs awards ceremony recognizes ambassadors of French taste and culinary excellence. These distinctions highlight producers, artisans, and chefs who embody the values of quality, authenticity, and transmission.
Entry to the Festival des Terroirs is free, with a solidarity ticketing system allowing everyone to support the association according to their means. The evenings are enlivened by concerts and an artistic program created in partnership with HEAT, transforming the festival into a true popular celebration of gastronomy. The 2026 edition will be held under the patronage of pastry chef Maxime Frédéric, crowned Best Pastry Chef in the World 2025.
The 4th edition of the Festival des Terroirs will be held from April 24 to 26, 2026, at HEAT Lyon Confluence, under the patronage of pastry chef Maxime Frédéric, World's Best Pastry Chef 2025. The program includes: food court, producers' market, culinary battles, and concerts.
The Festival des Terroirs returns from April 24 to 26, 2026, at HEAT Lyon Confluence for its fourth edition, under the patronage of pastry chef Maxime Frédéric, head pastry chef at Cheval Blanc Paris and crowned World's Best Pastry Chef 2025.
