Multidisciplinary Festival at the Citadel of Bourg-sur-Gironde
The Festival Induction takes over the Citadel and the medieval village of Bourg-sur-Gironde every summer. Labelled Scènes d'Été en Gironde, and having become a place of creation and international encounter, it features a multidisciplinary program — theatre, music, literature, performances, visual arts, fire jugglers, and contemporary writings — to «ignite joy in all of us». Organized by the Mata-Malam association, each edition is themed and welcomes a renowned artistic patron.

Organized by the Mata-Malam association, the festival takes over the Citadel and the medieval village of Bourg-sur-Gironde every year. Themed differently each edition and supported by a renowned artistic patron, it has established itself as a meeting place for artists from all over the world, rooted in sharing, openness, and participatory creation.
Festival Induction — 9th edition « Our Mosaic Gazes », at the Citadel and in the medieval village of Bourg-sur-Gironde.
Labeled Scènes d'Été en Gironde, an eco-responsible event that has become a place of creation and international encounter, the Induction Festival presents a multidisciplinary program for its 9th edition: theater, music, literature, performances, visual arts, fire jugglers, and contemporary writings.
Hassane Kassi Kouyaté, Burkinabe artist and director of the Francophonies de Limoges and Récréâtrales in Burkina, is the patron of this edition: this eminent griot will lead a workshop « Storytelling and Orality » before sharing his creation « The Talking Tree ».
Another invited artist, Marc Vella, the nomadic pianist, celebrates the wrong note and vibration in profoundly human music, transforming each concert into a collective experience.
On the program: 12 professional shows, performances, readings, concerts, visual installations, poetic strolls, writing workshops, meetings with authors, ephemeral bookstore, participatory creations, and 2 cinema previews (July 3 and 9).
