Festival Terre de Zic

From Rock en Marche to Terre de Zic

The Festival Terre de Zic was born in 2012 under the name Rock en Marche, in the town of Saint-Martin-Sainte-Catherine, on the border of Creuse and Haute-Vienne, just 30 km from Limoges. In 2021, for its 8th edition, the festival changed its name to Terre de Zic, to avoid any confusion with the political movement "En Marche". This change of identity has not altered the original spirit: a friendly music festival rooted in the Limousin terroir.

A quality rock and alternative program

Since its creation, the festival has hosted renowned artists such as Zebda, Jacques Higelin, Hyphen Hyphen, Les Fatals Picards, Louis Chedid, Massilia Sound System, Zoufris Maracas, Cali, Laura Cox, and Sidilarsen. The program, resolutely eclectic, mixes rock, French chanson, ska, reggae, and alternative music on two stages. The festival has grown over the years, expanding from one day to two and from one stage to two.

A rural and friendly festival

Terre de Zic takes place on the last weekend of July in a rural setting, on the border of two departments. The festival attracts over 2,200 festival-goers in a warm and family-friendly atmosphere, far from large urban festivals. The proximity of Limoges (30 km) and the rural setting of Saint-Martin-Sainte-Catherine offer a perfect balance between accessibility and a change of scenery. The festival is run by a team of passionate volunteers who keep musical culture alive in rural areas.
