The "Cœur de Fontenay" association, Fontenay-lès-Briis' festival committee, is a driving force in the commune. Composed of passionate volunteers, it organizes numerous events throughout the year: St. Patrick's Day party, Fête de la Musique, July 14th celebrations, Christmas markets, themed evenings, and many other events that set the rhythm for the village's social life.

The annual Fête de Fontenay-lès-Briis is the highlight of the summer season. It offers:

Fête de la Musique: mid-June event
Ahead of the main festival, the commune celebrates the Fête de la Musique every June 21st, organized in partnership with the Festival Committee. This event brings together numerous musical groups who perform on stage from the afternoon until midnight, in a festive and festival atmosphere. Inflatable structures and catering stands complete the program for families.

Fontenay-lès-Briis is crossed by the Dourdan state forest and benefits from an exceptional natural environment. Nearby are the Château de la Madeleine in Chevreuse and the Chevreuse Valley, a classified Regional Natural Park area. The Fontenay-lès-Briis Festival 2026, organized by the Cœur de Fontenay Festival Committee, takes place on June 20 and 21, 2026, coinciding with the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival). Numerous local and regional bands (rock, afro, funk, techno) will perform in a friendly atmosphere, with food, a refreshment stand, and inflatable structures for children. Free admission.
Fontenay-lès-Briis Festival 2026 — Music in Celebration
On June 20 and 21, 2026, the Cœur de Fontenay Festival Committee and the municipality of Fontenay-lès-Briis celebrate the Fête de la Musique. From afternoon until late evening, about ten local and regional bands will take turns offering free concerts in various styles: rock, afro, festive punk, funk, and techno.
A Program for All Tastes
Young talents and more experienced groups will share the stage, with an eclectic program mixing rock, afro music, funk, and electro. The festive atmosphere will be accompanied by food and a refreshment stand throughout the event, as well as inflatable structures for children in the afternoon and early evening.
