Brittany at the heart of Champagne
Created by the association Breizh en Champagne, the Fête de la Bretagne en Champagne-Ardenne is a unique event that brings Breton culture to the heart of the Marne region. Since its first edition, this festival has become a must-attend event for the Breton community in the Reims area and for all lovers of Celtic culture.
A weekend of festivities
The Espace Thierry Meng in Bétheny transforms for a weekend into a true Breton fest-deiz (day festival). On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, from 2 PM to 6 PM, free outdoor activities are offered: Breton dances, traditional songs, workshops for learning Celtic instruments (bombarde, biniou, bagpipes), children's storytelling, wooden games, a bouncy castle, and an exhibition of traditional Breton costumes and headdresses.
The fest-noz, the festival's highlight
On Saturday evening, from 8 PM to midnight, the grand fest-noz (traditional Breton dance) is the festival's highlight. Led by Celtic music groups and bagad musicians, the fest-noz invites all participants to dance to the lively rhythms of an dro, hanter dro, gavotte, and other traditional Breton dances. Experienced musicians guide beginners in learning the steps.
Quality Celtic Music
The musical program features prestigious groups such as the bagad and musicians from the Kevrenn Ker Ar Roué of Reims, the Bagad Armor Argoat of Paris, and renowned fest-noz bands. A Breton artisan market offers local products and Celtic crafts.
