Every June 21, Bourgoin-Jallieu celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians, music school students, bands, choirs, and brass bands play for free in the streets, squares, and emblematic venues of the city. Organized by the City of Bourgoin-Jallieu, the day is entirely free and open to all.
The Fête de la Musique in Bourgoin-Jallieu
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Bourgoin-Jallieu into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces in all genres and for all audiences: rock, pop, jazz, electro, hip-hop, world music, French chanson, choirs, and brass bands. In 2026, the sub-prefecture of Isère celebrates the 44th edition of this national event.
A celebration throughout the city center
Usually, the streets, squares, parks, and emblematic places of the city welcome musicians, in a spirit of sharing and conviviality. The festival highlights local talents and the diversity of styles, with artists performing voluntarily in the heart of the Berjallian center.
