God Save Clermont 2026 — 9th Edition (April 9-11, 2026)

God Save Clermont: English Rock in the Spotlight
God Save Clermont is a unique concept in the French festival scene: the most British of French festivals. Each year, for a week, an English rock band plays every evening in a different venue in Clermont-Ferrand, accompanied by a Clermontois band as support. The festival invites the public on a musical journey from bar to bar, before culminating at La Coopérative de Mai, an iconic venue for contemporary music in Clermont.
A Musical Bridge Between England and Auvergne
The festival showcases the British independent rock scene, programming emerging and established bands from across the Channel. In parallel, it highlights the talents of the Clermontois scene by giving them visibility during the opening acts. This original format creates unexpected encounters and musical discoveries for an audience of insiders and the curious.
A Traveling Festival Through the City
The concerts take place in various venues in Clermont-Ferrand's nightlife and cultural scene:
- Bistro de la Mairie
- La Coopérative de Mai
- Various bars and concert halls in the city center
God Save Le Pop In
The festival extends to Paris under the name 'God Save Le Pop In', where the programmed English bands also perform, creating a cultural link between the two cities and offering double exposure to the invited artists.
An Event Supported by Institutions
God Save Clermont benefits from the support of the City of Clermont-Ferrand, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, Clermont Auvergne Métropole, the CROUS Clermont Auvergne, and media partners such as Zap Magazine and Californie Française.
