The most British of French festivals, from bar to bar in Clermont-Ferrand
God Save Clermont is a unique English rock festival in France that takes over the bars and concert venues of Clermont-Ferrand each year. For three days, an English rock band performs each evening, accompanied by a Clermontois band as support. The event culminates at La Coopérative de Mai and also resonates in Paris under the name 'God Save Le Pop In'. Supported by the City of Clermont-Ferrand and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, the festival celebrates the British independent rock scene.
God Save Clermont is a unique concept in the French festival scene: the most British of French festivals. Each year, for a week, an English rock band plays every evening in a different venue in Clermont-Ferrand, accompanied by a Clermontois band as support. The festival invites the public on a musical journey from bar to bar, before culminating at La Coopérative de Mai, an iconic venue for contemporary music in Clermont.
The festival showcases the British independent rock scene, programming emerging and established bands from across the Channel. In parallel, it highlights the talents of the Clermontois scene by giving them visibility during the opening acts. This original format creates unexpected encounters and musical discoveries for an audience of insiders and the curious.
The concerts take place in various venues in Clermont-Ferrand's nightlife and cultural scene:

God Save Clermont benefits from the support of the City of Clermont-Ferrand, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, Clermont Auvergne Métropole, the CROUS Clermont Auvergne, and media partners such as Zap Magazine and Californie Française.
