About I Scontri Figaresi

Every year, I Scontri Figaresi brings together a Corsican artist and an international performer on stages across Figari, in South Corsica. Established in 2022 by the Associu U Scontru association, the festival hosts its world music concerts in various locations throughout the village, from the church to local hamlets and public squares.

I Scontri Figaresi — edition 2026

For its 5th edition, I Scontri Figaresi returns to Figari from September 9th to 12th, 2026, featuring ten concerts spread across four evenings. The lineup brings together Fiuminale, Cuscenza, Felì, and Vitalba alongside international acts, including Laetitia Marcangeli, the Trio Giancarlo Paglialunga, Bel Air de Forró, and Yagody.

Corsican song meets global sounds

The festival's core concept remains the same each year: every evening features a Corsican group paired with an international or mainland act on the same stage. Previous editions have seen Corsican ensembles perform alongside musicians from Sweden, Bulgaria, Iran, Turkey, Austria, and Ireland.

In addition to these main events, the festival features "cuncertini"—intimate, small-scale concerts held in hidden corners of the village, often accompanied by tastings of local products.

The festival is organized by the Associu U Scontru association.
