Music Festival of Château de Berne (Var) — replaced by the Festival des Arts in 2026
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
ℹ️ Festival discontinued under this name. The Jazz à Berne festival is no longer held in 2026: Château de Berne has evolved its summer event by launching a new one, the Festival des Arts (first edition from April to September 2026), a multidisciplinary cultural program combining concerts, open-air theatre, photography, and literature. The last documented edition of Jazz à Berne took place in summer 2025 (from July 18 to August 8, 2025).
The Jazz à Berne Festival was one of the most unique musical events in the Var. Organized in the heart of Château de Berne, an internationally renowned wine and hotel estate located between Flayosc and Lorgues, it offered a program each summer combining jazz, pop, rock, and soul, in an exceptional natural setting amidst the Provençal vineyards.
The estate's open-air stage, set up facing the vineyards and wooded hills of the Var, offered remarkable acoustics and an intimate atmosphere that distinguished Jazz à Berne from large mass festivals. On each concert evening, the public was invited to discover the AOC Côtes de Provence wines of Château de Berne, whose blended rosés and reds have forged the estate's international reputation.
Château de Berne is no ordinary place. This 800-hectare estate, ranked among the most beautiful in Provence, includes vineyards, olive groves, forests, and a luxury hotel-spa. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages, and the current buildings, restored and enlarged, combine the charm of a Provençal bastide with architectural modernity. The estate annually produces over a million bottles, mainly rosés that are among the best of the Côtes de Provence appellation.
Hosting a live music festival was naturally part of Château de Berne's DNA, which has always associated wine culture with that of arts and gastronomy. The Jazz à Berne festival was thus conceived as a global experience: spectators arrived before the concerts to enjoy an aperitif at the cellar, discover tasting workshops, or dine at the estate's restaurant before heading to the park for the musical evening. This is the spirit that the Festival des Arts continues today.
The Jazz à Berne program was distinguished by its diversity and artistic quality. While jazz remained the festival's common thread, the Berne stage also welcomed leading pop, rock, and soul artists, ensuring accessibility to all audiences. In 2025, the last documented edition, the festival featured a Céline Dion Tribute (July 18), Robyn Bennett (July 31), and a Pink Floyd Tribute (August 8), with doors opening at 7 PM and concerts at 9:30 PM.
Editions generally ran from mid-July to early August, offering several concert evenings with controlled capacity allowing each spectator to benefit from optimal stage access and a quality experience. Evenings began at dusk, taking advantage of the mild Var nights and the natural lighting of the sunset over the vineyards.
Over the editions, Jazz à Berne had established itself as one of the flagship cultural events of summer in inland Var, attracting a loyal, music-loving, and epicurean audience, coming from all over the PACA region and neighboring departments, as well as numerous tourists staying on the estate or in the surrounding villages of Dracénie.
In 2026, Château de Berne chose to evolve this summer event into a broader one, the Festival des Arts, which expands the program to include photography, open-air theatre, and literature, while retaining strong musical highlights. To find out about the program and ticketing for this new format, please refer to the official website of Château de Berne.
Jazz à Berne perfectly embodied the Provençal art de vivre: evenings were long, festive, and convivial. The nocturnal program, the quality of the wines served, the beauty of the setting, and the warm atmosphere created a memorable experience that went beyond a simple concert. For many spectators, an evening at Jazz à Berne was as much a dinner in an exceptional setting as an unforgettable musical moment — a spirit that Château de Berne intends to perpetuate with its Festival des Arts.
ℹ️ 2026 edition of Jazz à Berne cancelled — festival replaced by the Festival des Arts. In 2026, Château de Berne is not renewing Jazz à Berne under this name: it is launching a new event, the Festival des Arts (1st edition, from April 24 to September 12, 2026), multidisciplinary (music, open-air theatre, photography, literature). The announced musical highlights include Nicolas Reyes, voice of the Gipsy Kings (July 24-25), Camille Berthollet with her album « Legends » (August 7) or Yann Muller (August 13). For the updated program and ticketing, consult the official website of Château de Berne. The last edition of Jazz à Berne was held in summer 2025.
ℹ️ There is no 2026 edition of Jazz à Berne. Château de Berne (Flayosc, Var) has replaced its summer music festival with a new cultural event, the Festival des Arts, whose first edition runs from April 24 to September 12, 2026. This new formula broadens the artistic offering beyond music: photographic exhibitions, open-air theatre, concerts and literary encounters succeed each other throughout the season in the domain's open-air amphitheatre, between vineyards and olive trees.
On the music side, the Festival des Arts 2026 notably features Nicolas Reyes, voice of the Gipsy Kings (concerts on July 24 and 25), violinist and cellist Camille Berthollet with her album « Legends » (August 7), DJ Yann Muller (August 13) and Jonathan Dassin (September 11-12). The play « Ça patine à Tokyo », with Nelson Monfort and Philippe Candeloro, is scheduled for June 19 and 20.
The last edition of Jazz à Berne was held in summer 2025, from July 18 to August 8, featuring a Céline Dion Tribute, Robyn Bennett and a Pink Floyd Tribute. To discover the program and book for the Festival des Arts, visit the official website of Château de Berne.
