About L'Oghmac
L'Oghmac — edition 2026
The 12th edition of L'Oghmac, a baroque theatre festival in Périgord noir, takes place from August 3 to 10, 2026. L'Oghmac 2026 — Tabarin's 400 Pranks
For its twelfth edition, from August 3 to 10, 2026, L'Oghmac honors Tabarin, a famous comic character, on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of his death. Tabarin's theatre, lively, mischievous, and joyful, influenced many of his successors, from Scarron to Molière.
Organized by Compagnie Oghma, L'Oghmac is the first and only baroque and popular theatre festival to showcase the most beautiful sites of Périgord noir: barns, gardens, and courtyards of the region's historical monuments, around Auriac-du-Périgord and neighboring towns.

Baroque Theatre Resurrected
L'Oghmac, created in 2015 by the Compagnie Oghma and its director Charles Di Meglio, is the first and only baroque and popular theatre festival in France. The festival celebrates the theatre of Molière's early days, when he travelled across France with his stages, sets, and costumes in a cart.
Exceptional Venues Lit by Candlelight
The festival sets up its stages in the gardens, barns, and courtyards of the most beautiful historical monuments of Périgord Noir. A unique feature: all shows are lit by candlelight, faithfully recreating the atmosphere of 17th-century theatrical performances and bringing the past to life with striking intimacy.
A Company of Young Professionals
The Compagnie Oghma, based in Auriac-du-Périgord, brings together about fifteen professional actors and actresses whose average age does not exceed 30 years. The company focuses its efforts on ancient theatre from the 15th to the 17th century, offering eight days of theatre, music, cinema, and pyrotechnics in exceptional locations.
