Eclectic music festival in the cloister of the Cormery abbey
Each year in June, the cloister of the Cormery abbey transforms into a place of celebration and music thanks to the La Poule à Facettes Festival. Created in 2014 by the association Artlequin, this musical event has quickly established itself as a must-see on the Touraine cultural scene.
The festival unfolds its program on three stages offering a rich and varied musical experience throughout the weekend. Cumbia, French chanson, world music, rock, and electro sounds mingle in a festive and relaxed atmosphere.
La Poule à Facettes makes a point of promoting local artists while offering surprising musical discoveries. Among the artists who have graced the festival stages are names like Cumbia Boom Box, Emeline Tout Court, Poolidor, and many other groups with diverse aesthetics.
The Cormery abbey, founded in the 8th century, offers a remarkable architectural setting for this festival. The medieval remains of the cloister create a unique atmosphere that adds a poetic dimension to the concerts. This marriage of heritage and contemporary music is what makes the event so unique.
Beyond the music, La Poule à Facettes offers a bar and catering area to accompany festival-goers throughout the day and evening. The friendly and family-friendly atmosphere of the festival, combined with accessible prices, makes it an event open to all, from seasoned music lovers to the simply curious seeking musical discoveries.
The festival is part of the cultural dynamic of the Loches Sud Touraine community of communes and contributes to the animation of the village of Cormery, also known for its famous macarons and its rich historical heritage.
