From March 8 to 28, 2026, La Prima dels Poètas (The Poets' Spring) returns to Sète, at La Baleine Rouge, driven by the association Le Retour des Troubadours. Throughout March, poetry will be spoken, sung, and shared through concerts, readings, writing workshops, and meetings, in the Occitan spirit of the trobadors and trobairitz.
Organized by the association Le Retour des Troubadours at the cultural venue La Baleine Rouge, the Sète Poets' Spring is part of the national dynamic of the Printemps des Poètes (28th edition on the theme "Freedom. A living, deployed force"). In Sète, the Occitan and Mediterranean edition unfolds its program throughout March 2026.
Concerts, performance-readings, writing workshops, conferences, and meetings will take place successively at La Baleine Rouge in a spirit that is both committed and warm, honoring the Occitan language, song, and poetry of the Mediterranean.
The full program (concerts, readings, writing workshops, conferences) runs throughout March at La Baleine Rouge. Consult the Facebook page Le Retour des Troubadours for day-by-day details.
