About Masters de Feu

Created in 2016 to perpetuate the tradition of great fireworks competitions in the Oise region, the Masters de Feu is an international pyrotechnic art competition organized each year in September at the Compiègne racecourse. The world's best pyrotechnicians compete in fifteen-minute synchronized shows to win the Golden Master. Organized on a four-year cycle—three years of selection followed by a grand finale—the event offers a spectacular evening with five fireworks displays and three hours of show.

The heir to the Nuits de Feu de Chantilly

The Masters de Feu were born in 2016 from the desire to revive the great tradition of international fireworks competitions in the Oise region, after the end of the Nuits de Feu de Chantilly in 2008. Organized at the Compiègne racecourse, this spectacular event brings together the world's best pyrotechnicians every September for a competition that is as creative as it is spectacular.

An innovative four-year format

The competition takes place over a four-year cycle: three years of selection where the public elects its Silver Masters, followed by a grand finale in the fourth year to award the Golden Master. Each competitor is challenged to design a fifteen-minute pyrotechnic show, fully synchronized with a soundtrack, around a given theme and budget.

An evening of total entertainment

Each edition offers an eventful evening with five fireworks displays and three hours of show. In addition to the competition, the evening includes entertainment, catering, and a festive atmosphere from the moment the gates open in the late afternoon. The fireworks are launched facing the racecourse grandstands, offering optimal visibility to all spectators.

A new cycle in 2026

To celebrate a decade of pyrotechnic passion, the Masters de Feu are launching a brand new three-year selection cycle (2026-2028), allowing the public to once again elect their Silver Masters before a grand finale in 2029.

A major event in the Oise region

Attracting thousands of spectators with each edition, the Masters de Feu has become one of the major events in the Oise region and the Hauts-de-France region, combining spectacle, emotion, and pyrotechnic art in a unique setting.
