Classical and jazz music festival around the Gulf of Morbihan
Les Musicales du Golfe is a classical and jazz music festival that takes place every summer in August in several towns around the Gulf of Morbihan, with Arradon as its home port. Founded in the early 1990s, the festival offers about ten concerts in remarkable heritage sites: churches, chapels, and characterful halls in the towns bordering the gulf. Prestigious artists and young talents perform in an intimate setting, offering exceptional musical moments between land and sea.
Since the early 1990s, Les Musicales du Golfe have been filling the most beautiful venues of the Gulf of Morbihan with classical and jazz music. This touring festival offers a series of concerts every summer in the towns that border this exceptionally beautiful inland sea.
The originality of Les Musicales du Golfe lies in its touring format. Concerts move from town to town, taking over remarkable heritage sites: churches, chapels, characterful halls, and outdoor spaces. For the 2025 edition, the festival sailed between Baden, Ploeren, Île-d'Arz, Sarzeau, Séné, Saint-Avé, and Arradon, offering 8 concerts in 7 different locations.
The artistic direction, managed by flutist Juliette Hurel, guarantees a high-level program mixing internationally renowned artists and promising young talents. Piano recitals, string quartets, chamber music ensembles, jazz groups, and vocal concerts make up an eclectic program within the classical and contemporary repertoire.
The venues chosen for the concerts offer exceptional acoustics and an intimate atmosphere that brings the audience closer to the musicians. The limited capacity of these heritage spaces creates a rare proximity between artists and spectators, making each concert a unique musical experience.
The festival takes advantage of the exceptional natural setting of the Gulf of Morbihan, ranked among the most beautiful bays in the world. Festival-goers can combine their musical journey with the discovery of the landscapes, islands, and heritage of this exceptional territory.
The 35th edition of Les Musicales du Golfe is expected in August 2026 in the towns of the Gulf of Morbihan. The program and concert venues will be announced in the spring of 2026.
