Classical and jazz music festival around the Gulf of Morbihan
Since the early 1990s, Les Musicales du Golfe have brought classical music and jazz to life in the most beautiful venues of the Golfe du Morbihan. This itinerant festival offers a series of concerts every summer in the towns bordering this exceptionally beautiful inland sea.
The originality of Les Musicales du Golfe lies in its itinerant format. Concerts move from town to town, taking over remarkable heritage sites: churches, chapels, characterful halls, and open-air spaces. For the 2025 edition, the festival navigated between Baden, Ploeren, l'Île-d'Arz, Sarzeau, Séné, Saint-Avé, offering 11 concerts in 9 different venues.
The artistic direction, led by flutist Juliette Hurel, guarantees a high-level program blending internationally renowned artists and promising young talents. Piano recitals, string quartets, chamber music ensembles, jazz formations, and vocal concerts make up an eclectic program within the classical and contemporary repertoire.
The venues chosen for the concerts offer exceptional acoustics and an intimate atmosphere that brings the audience closer to the musicians. The reduced capacity of these heritage spaces creates a rare proximity between artists and spectators, making each concert a unique musical experience.
The festival takes advantage of the exceptional natural setting of the Golfe du Morbihan, ranked among the most beautiful bays in the world. Festival-goers can combine their musical journey with the discovery of the landscapes, islands, and heritage of this exceptional territory.
The 35th edition of Les Musicales du Golfe takes place from August 1st to 13th, 2026, in about ten heritage sites in the communes of the Gulf of Morbihan. The program includes: symphonic music, piano recitals, chamber music, and jazz, featuring the Orchestre National de Bretagne, Anne Queffelec, the Quatuor Ardeo, and the Baptiste Herbin trio.
From August 1st to 13th, 2026, Les Musicales du Golfe will take over churches, chapels, and characteristic venues around the Gulf of Morbihan (Vannes, Arzon, Elven, Saint-Ave, Sarzeau, Baden, Ile-d'Arz, Sene, Ploeren).
