Les Océanes de la Radio is the first FM radio platform in Aquitaine. The event combines live broadcast on FGL airwaves and a large-scale open-air concert, bringing together renowned French-speaking and international artists on the same stage. This dual radio and live performance dimension makes Les Océanes a unique event in the Aquitaine festival landscape.
The festival takes place in an exceptional natural setting, on the Boulevard des Sables in Biscarrosse-Plage, at the foot of the green dune and a stone's throw from the Atlantic Ocean. Spectators settle on the lawn of the dune to enjoy the concerts in a relaxed picnic atmosphere, with their feet in the grass and facing the sunset.
Over the years, Les Océanes has hosted many popular artists from the French scene: L'Héritage Goldman, Irma, Lilian Renaud, Emma Daumas, Les Frangines, Julie Zenatti, Trois Cafés Gourmands, Lusaint, and many others. The programming mixes confirmed headliners and emerging talents from the French and pop music scene.
Les Océanes de la Radio is driven by about sixty volunteers from FGL radio who work for free to ensure the smooth running of the event. The festival is part of an eco-responsible approach, valuing the dune and the coastline that must be protected and promoted. Environmental awareness is an integral part of the DNA of this summer event.
In over three decades of existence, Les Océanes de la Radio has become a true institution in the Landes, a must-attend event for lovers of live music and festive moments by the sea. The festival brings together all generations in a spirit of festive and popular communion.
