Summer shows and theatrical walks in Meschers-sur-Gironde
Les Passagers du Régulus is an amateur theater troupe based in Meschers-sur-Gironde that brings the commune's history to life through live performances. The company takes its name from the famous Régulus caves, an emblematic site of Meschers carved into the limestone cliff.
Every Tuesday evening during the months of July and August, the troupe presents 'Les Nocturnes': encounters with the most famous troglodytes of Meschers. These historical walks start from the Meschers town hall at 8 PM and lead the audience to the marina for a final musical performance.
Les Passagers du Régulus embody well-known historical figures such as Cadet and Marie Guichard, making the audience laugh, dance, and sing. During the annual Fête du Port (Port Festival), the troupe, accompanied by the Compagnie Théâtre Passion, enlivens the quays with a colorful, joyful, and poetic parade.
Les Passagers du Régulus will return for the summer of 2026 with their weekly 'Nocturnes', offering theatrical walks through the history of Meschers every Tuesday evening in July and August.
