Cinema for toddlers comes to Vendôme every summer
The Little Films Festival is a national film event dedicated to young audiences, held every summer at the Majestic Ciné Vendôme. For two months, from late June to late August, a selection of eight films for children aged 3 and up are screened at a special price of €4.50 for everyone. Created in 2019, this event brings together over 550 cinemas in France and offers Vendôme families a friendly summer gathering centered around the seventh art.
Every summer, the Little Films Festival transforms the Majestic Ciné Vendôme into a true cinema paradise for toddlers. For two months, from late June to late August, children aged 3 and up and their families can discover a carefully selected program of animated films, documentaries, and fiction suitable for the youngest viewers.
The Little Films Festival was born in 2019 from the collaboration between four French distributors specializing in youth cinema: Little KMBO, Gebeka Films, Cinéma Public Films, and Les Films du Préau. Each edition offers a selection of approximately eight films, including exclusive previews and animated classics. The works are chosen for their artistic quality, their ability to enchant young children, and their educational value.
The screenings are designed for young audiences:
The Majestic Ciné Vendôme cinema, located in the heart of the city, is an accredited Art and Essay cinema that has actively participated in the Little Films Festival since its inception. With its comfortable theaters and commitment to cultural dissemination, it offers an ideal setting for the first cinematic experiences of children from Vendôme and the entire Loir Valley.
Over the years, the Little Films Festival has become an unmissable summer event for families in the Vendôme region. Leisure centers, nurseries, and childminders find a quality program at an accessible price, while parents and grandparents rediscover the joy of a shared cinema experience with the little ones. The festival thus contributes to the artistic and cultural awakening of children in the area, offering them their very first cinema experience in a welcoming and age-appropriate environment.
