Moustival

A free festival in the heart of the Brenne

Moustival is a contemporary music festival that takes place every first weekend of September in the Saint-Sulpice clearing in Vendœuvres, a town located in the Brenne Regional Natural Park, in the Indre department. Created in September 2008 by the Rockenberry association, this festival was designed to promote local musical groups and enrich the musical landscape of the department.

Two days of eclectic music

Moustival offers a rich and varied program mixing rock, punk, folk, ska, traditional music, and French chanson. For two days, about ten bands perform on the stage set up in the middle of the clearing, offering an eclectic panorama of contemporary music. The festival makes it a point of honor to program regional bands alongside more established acts, thus creating a space for musical discovery and sharing. Concerts start at 7:30 PM and continue into the night.

A festive and community spirit

Driven by a team of passionate volunteers from the Rockenberry association, Moustival embodies the spirit of rural community festivals: free entry, a warm and friendly atmosphere, on-site catering, and free camping accessible on foot only. The festival has a catering area, a bar, snack stands, toilets, and various exhibitors offering crafts and exhibitions. The event is open to all audiences and all generations.

Nestled in a green setting in the town of Vendœuvres, this forest clearing creates an intimate and magical atmosphere, far from the urban hustle and bustle. The site is also known for its miraculous fountain and its centuries-old pilgrimage site, adding a heritage dimension to the place.
