About Music Festival in Arcachon
Every June 21, Arcachon celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): amateur and professional musicians play for free in the streets, squares, and along the seafront. In the heart of the Bassin, this seaside resort in Gironde brings its music outdoors, from the city center to the Pointe du Moulleau, in a summer and intergenerational atmosphere. The day is entirely free and open to everyone.
The Fête de la Musique in Arcachon
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Arcachon into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces on the first day of summer, from early evening until late at night, in all genres and for all audiences.
A festival from the city center to Le Moulleau
Usually, the festival unfolds across several sites in the city: the squares and forecourt of the city center, the seafront opposite the Palais des Congrès, as well as the Moulleau district with its bandstand. You'll find brass bands, pop, rock, and Latin groups, choirs, open stages, and DJ sets, in a friendly atmosphere facing the Bassin.
For the 2026 edition, the Moulleau district already kicks off the festivities at the Kiosque in the afternoon, with a vocal group from 3 PM to 5 PM, followed by a gospel ensemble from 6 PM to 8 PM.
