Every June 21, Bagnols-sur-Cèze celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): choirs, the conservatory, bands, and DJs provide free entertainment in the city center squares, from Place Auguste-Mallet to Place du Château. Organized by the City of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, the day is entirely free and blends all styles, from folk-rock to French chanson, from choirs to electro.
The Fête de la Musique in Bagnols-sur-Cèze
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Bagnols-sur-Cèze, in the Gard rhodanien, into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over the squares and streets of the historic center, from afternoon choir concerts to festive evenings late into the night, across all genres and for all audiences.
A festival spread throughout the city center
The events unfold across several emblematic squares of the old town: Place du Château hosts choirs and the conservatory during the day before an open stage, while Place Auguste-Mallet, Place Bertin-Boissin, Place Jean-Jaurès, and Place du Posterlon take over in the evening. Genres intersect without hierarchy: choirs, Irish folk-rock, bluegrass, French musette chanson, DJ sets, and bodega atmosphere.
For 2026, the City of Bagnols-sur-Cèze is extending the event over two evenings around the solstice, Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, with a program focused on Place Mallet and the central squares.

The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Bagnols-sur-Cèze will be held on Sunday, June 21st, free of charge throughout the city center. Choirs, conservatories, bands, and DJs will take turns on the central squares, from the afternoon until the heart of the night; the 2026 edition is extended over two evenings, Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st.

Overview of the stages announced for the 2026 edition, square by square:
Place du Château — choirs, conservatory and open stage
From 10 AM to 6 PM, concerts and performances by choirs and the music and dance conservatory. At 6 PM, open stage with ZZ Potes (French and international pop-rock): musicians and singers without a band are invited to come and play with them.
Place Auguste-Mallet — folk-rock and bluegrass
At 8 PM, Grumpy O'Sheep (Irish folk-rock, guitar and violin), then at 9:30 PM The Grasslers (rock revisited as American folk: violin, mandolin, guitar and double bass).
Place Bertin-Boissin — French chanson
At 8:30 PM, Manu & Co: French chanson in a musette-guinguette spirit.
Place Jean-Jaurès — DJ night
At 9 PM, DJ set with Marc / Global Sons.
Place du Posterlon — bodega
Bodega night animated by the Lou Gabian bullfighting club.
